Andy Soos from Bedford CNC has been in the industry a long time, including a stint at Allens in Bedford – at one time employing over 3,000 people. He has since set up his own company, Bedford CNC and is now looking to take it to the next level. Part of this process is to take on PSL Datatrack. Whilst Bedford CNC is a relatively small company PSL Datatrack affords the flexibility for engineering companies of any size. Check Out Bedford CNC's Latest Acquisition

Colin Griffiths of MTDCNC is with Andy Soos of Bedford CNC to talk about some of his recent acquisitions in DMG MORI machines. Andy, who once couldn’t even think of having such powerful tools, got in touch with DMG MORI and received a proposal for three machines: Two 5-axis and one CMX 800 V 3-axis milling machine. Fast forward 14 months, Andy says the CMX 800 V offers brilliant performance with quick, easy programming and setup. Though the footprint is certainly bigger, the machine offers a much bigger envelope. Find out more from Andy about the amazing investment in DMG MORI equipment.

Bedford CNC Invests in their future in DMG Mori

MTDCNC took a trip to Bedford CNC to talk with Andy Soos to discuss what impact their new investment with DMG MORI UK has given them. Andy explains that he watched the DMG MORI LIVE event last October streamed by MTDCNC and with their incredible finance package they could offer - Bedford CNC purchased a DMG MORI CMX 800V Mill. This has now revolutionised their business and now they can attract new business with the speed of the DMG MORI finishing current work so accurately and quickly.

In a continued drive to improve efficiency he looked at other options and found PSL Datatrack, software to streamline the running of his machine shop. His initial purchase was the quoting module. Milling Back To Doomsday

Bedford CNC love a challenge – we already know that. This time they are involved in a project to help restore a Water Mill dating back to 1089; it is first mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The restoration project has been running since 2014 and Andy from Bedford CNC was asked to help produce a shaft and wheel that attached to the water wheel.
